Name search requires first name, last name, and date of birth. SC.gov payment instructions say the case number and ticket number are the same for online payment, and spaces should not be entered between letters and numbers.

Pay Fairfield County Traffic Tickets
For Fairfield Magistrate traffic matters, appearance date and time are on the ticket or bond paper, and times are in military time. A bond or payment by mail must be by money order, cashier's check, or bank-certified check payable to Fairfield County Traffic Court. It must be mailed to 115 B South Congress Street, Winnsboro, SC 29180, must include a copy of the summons or summons number, and must be received on or before the scheduled court time. Do not mail cash or a personal check.
Winnsboro Municipal Court accepts fine or bond payments in person or by drop box. The envelope must include name, case number, and amount, with a receipt mailed after processing. Fairfield County Traffic Fees
Traffic fine amounts depend on the charge, court, and state assessments. The research does not provide a Fairfield County traffic fine schedule or local court-copy fee schedule for traffic records. It does provide SCDMV record fees. A person may buy their own 3-year or 10-year driving record online from SCDMV. To obtain another person's full report, the requester needs driver consent or a permitted reason under the Driver's Privacy Protection Act.

DUI and Criminal Traffic Cases
Some traffic-related matters can become criminal court records. Fairfield Magistrate and Winnsboro Municipal Court handle many summary criminal and traffic matters, but more serious criminal matters can move into General Sessions. DUI, bench warrants, and traffic-related criminal charges should be read through the court shown on the ticket or case record, and the final case file may belong with Fairfield County criminal court records.

Fairfield County Traffic Access Limits
South Carolina public-record rules generally support inspection or copying of public records unless an exemption or other law applies. Traffic court records may still be limited by sealed orders, expungement, juvenile confidentiality, privacy redactions, and case-specific court rules. The Judicial Branch also states that home addresses are no longer displayed on the Public Index for new and existing cases as of January 1, 2026.
Traffic offenses, motor vehicle offenses, and wildlife or game offenses are excluded from one first-offense summary-court expungement category described in the Judicial Branch FAQ. That does not mean no traffic-related record can ever be restricted, but it does mean expungement eligibility should be verified with the Sixth Circuit Solicitor or the court that handled the charge.
